What is cyber security?
Cybersecurity is the protection security of computer systems. It protects from theft or damage to
their hardware, software and electronic data and from the misdirection of the
services.
It
mainly has three reasons to be more important in our daily life.
#1 When
we are more aware, it is much easier to protect ourselves from hackers.
Cybersecurity is not only involved in
businesses. But it is also used in the government sector, Personal computer, tablet, and
cellphone. Hackers can hack our personal
information such as names, email addresses, and birthdates, etc... Suppose a
hacker gets access to our contact information, he might send an email or text message to everyone using
our name, encouraging them to click on a link containing malware.
#2 The latest hacking tools.
The latest hacking tools mean programs, text
SMS etc. on the internet is growing rapidly nowadays, that are threat from
less-skilled individuals. The cybersecurity has made it very easy for anyone to
obtain the resources they need for launching damaging attacks, like ransomware
and crypto mining.
#3 It should be confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
·
Confidentiality mainly contains
important information that is sensitive and it should only be shared with a
limited number of people. For example – our credit card information.
·
Integrity involves keeping
information from being altered. That means data must not be changed in transit.
For example - When malware hits a hospital’s computer systems, it should not scramble
patient records.
·
Availability means authorized
people should be able to access the information whenever and wherever they
want. Example-cyber security can prevent unauthorized people from
accessing specific computers or from accessing the internet.
